The four of us landed in Quito, the capital city of Ecuador, at about 8pm on Tuesday with no problems. However, we realized that none of us had sent photos of ourselves to Alan, so he had no idea who to be looking for at the airport. Luckily, we remembered him from pictures and we met up just fine.
Here are a couple pictures of us at the airport with all our baggage!
We pilled into a dusty and well loved pick up truck (with a warning from Alan that there was just one hole in the gas tank, so pick up your feet on the bumpy parts.) Alan also put us to the test, sending us into a fast food joint to try out our Spanish. I think we succeeded, though we did end up with 8 water bottles when we had tried to ask for 5. Ah well.
Since arriving we settled in just fine- the Gordon's are gracious hosts.
Anyway, the spaghetti for dinner is ready (we get to take turns with all the chores, cooking included!)
Grace and peace,
-Lisa
